Questions
Do I install it on both databases?
Yes: on the test database to export packages, and in production to preview and apply them.
Can I move a package from Odoo 18 to Odoo 19?
No. Packages move between databases of the same Odoo version, so nothing is half-compatible.
What about my data, like contacts or orders?
Config Transfer moves configuration, not business data. Use Odoo's import for data.
Does it work on Odoo Online?
Standard Odoo Online does not allow third-party modules. Use Odoo.sh or your own server.
